This is a book on the history of Blue Beetle which also contains reprints of full stories.
It documents the whole history of one of the oldest properties in comics, from its Golden Age incarnation published by Fox Comics, to the modern version published by Charlton Comics created by Steve Ditko (co-creator of Spider-Man) under the supervision of future DC Managing Editor Dick Giordano. When Giordano moved to DC, they purchased the property as a “gift” to Giordano from Charlton which had gone bankrupt by then. This character would later serve as the model for Owlman in Alan Moore’s Watchmen.
Very interesting part of comics history.
